• Veitch on Veitch – 12 Noon, Beckett Theatre, Event 16
It’s a big year for the Veitch family, with both Michael and his sister Kate bringing out books. Michael has his book on World War Two aviation coming out, while Kate has released her first novel, Listen. Displaying extraordinary economy, they interview each other.
• Crowded House – 5:15 pm, Beckett Theatre, Event 25
Big, noisy, boisterous families – a loving environment or a Malthusian nightmare? Probably a bit of both, as you will hear from writers Monica McInerney, Celestine Hitura Vaite and Kate Veitch, who have all queued for the bathroom in hand-me-down clothes. Chaired by Louise Swinn.
